Selfishness is a gambling game...!

If only I was selfish, every star could be mine,
but without a sky, would they still shine?
If only I was selfish, I could capture butterflies,
but what remains of their beauty, if they cannot fly?

               Being selfish is a gambling game,
               loss is greater, for a little gain.
               With possessive venom up my vein,
               limitless things I can obtain;
               though what use of such possessions,
               if their potential is not sustained...?

 By closing our fist, things that we miss;
 liberate the bird, and feel the bliss.
 Smile with soaked eyes, and wave a good bye;
 It may not be yours, but u gave it a try.

                The joy of its touch, turned your life gold,
                Generosity is a quality that belongs to a bold.
                Firm are their Faiths...for whom this fortune is told,
                better is approaching fast, only being kept on hold.

The point is not to make it mine,
I shall be fine, as long as it shines.
Today, let us stand with an open fist,
and applaud ourselves for not being selfish.
